ClipMenu makes my day

I started feeling lack of such a basic Emacs feature as “Kill Ring” in my everyday computer tasks. What I basically need is to have sometimes access to text I copied in my clipboard some times ago. I tried around 10 different programs for Mac OS and stopped my choice on ClipMenu. I am not 100% happy with it but at least it does what I need and saves me some time. Instead of +v for pasting I can use +shift+v to access my buffer ring and select text by key number from dropdown menu. Do you use something like this?

My brain is telling me: “Nexus, nexus.. or droid, at least”, my heart keeps telling me: “Iphone”

Not DNS, but country problem

I was so naive when I opened a blog for my mom several days ago. I registered a domain for it, and used wordpress.com as a hosting provider with basic Wordpress theme.

The Blog is about Food, Recipes and Cooking.

For me everything is working fast and perfect. But my mom couldn’t open this blog for several days. I was thinking that providers in her country had some DNS issues. I asked her to check ping, nslookup, tracert (yeah, my dad helped her with this). Everything seemed ok, but site was not loading. We flushed dns config, restarted browser, computer… No results. When we decided to check other blogs on wordpress. Same problem. I asked my friends who live there to check and they confirmed this. So it seems that all wordpress.com blogs are blocked in their country.

At least, I am happy that they received my mail package today. I was worried about it.

My Sexy Terminal.app Color Scheme

Colored my Terminal a little. Not so convenient way to do it though. Default LSCOLORS palette is ugly. So I installed SIMBL. When I used TerminalColors, here is the one that actually worked. There new button “More” will appear in customization window with color set. And this is my altered default Pro theme.
